If we really want to target reducing emissions by 2030 and beyond, we need to bring Nuclear into the picture to get there faster and more efficiently. SWB alone can barely do much in comparison and we will still continue to burn as many fossil fuels long into the future otherwise. We also don't deal with things like earthquakes and tsunami's in Ontario that we need to fear any future breakdown of nuclear reactors.

Canada builds the safest reactors in the world. So anyone who complains that nuclear energy is dangerous should stop and look at the big picture. Much more people have died in this world as a result of burning fossil fuels that have died from nuclear power. Don’t jump to conclusions research and education your self about this subject. Also without nuclear power we wouldn’t have enough power to power Ontario.

Great place to work. They are incredibly involved with the surrounding community and obsessed with safety and education. Anyone that post negative reviews about this generating station because they are antinuclear have no idea what they are talking about. Bruce Power generates 30% of the provinces power AND does it 30% cheaper then the average cost of electricty.Winter nesting spot for bald eagles as well.

Although many people believe that nuclear energy is bad for the environment the truth is it is one of the safest types of electricity. The bad things about nuclear power is that the price of building the reactor is over 1 billion l dollars! And the nuclear waste transportation can cost. Although it is one of the most powerful ways to get electricity to our homes. Nuclear energy can make the world a better and greener place.

The reason I give a medium review for Bruce is actually it's history of reaching critical limits in the 80-90s. They are still Giger reads that clearly shows nuclear fuel had indeed entered into the great lakes. Further a lot of kids from this area are sent to London with very rare blood abnormalities that seem to only be traced back to nuclear fuel that made its way into the lake. These abnormalities require multiple blood transfusions and while six reactors were up to date only up into 2016 were the first two reactors were allowed to begin punching neutrons. So yes this powerful power plant is great for the province but again they had been leaks before leading to health problems for kids that love the beaches. Giger reader's still continue to trace radioactive elements throughout the region and most istopes really is hit and miss as reactor coolant is released and generator steams are released as well. So safe yes but not entirely full proof of a successful powerplant without any pollution which was the point of the power plant. So since it's economic benefits are huge these issues that do plague people are not reported and thus I feel it's important to look into the history of this plant and therefore the information I present concerned about is actually indeed factual information and these isotope will effect the environment for thousands of years in half life demands.

For all of the people hating on Bruce Power who live in this area, I would back off because the people who come to your businesses are probably about 85% people that work there. And for the people who complain and don't live near here, almost half of your electricity is from here, so if you want a phone or computer without charging it by using a potato, I wouldn't complain so much.By the Way, I live really close (too young to work though) and love to fish. It hasn't affected any of my fishing in a negative way. The only difference in my fishing would be that I catch more when I fish in the out flow near there; just a tip for fishers.
